FAQ’s
Choosing fencing or railing materials is a meaningful investment, and the right choice affects how long your fence stands, how it weathers New Jersey winters, and how smoothly your install goes. This page exists to give homeowners, contractors, and landscapers clear answers before they call or place an order. Whether you are sourcing for a single backyard or a full commercial run, the goal is the same. Remove the guesswork, set expectations, and help you start your project with confidence.
Products & Who We Serve
-
Our inventory covers vinyl, aluminum, wood, and chain link fencing along with deck railings, driveway gates, deer fencing, pool guards, and guide rails for residential and commercial use. We stock materials from established manufacturers and keep our most-requested styles ready for pickup or delivery from our Pequannock, NJ location. You can browse the full catalog by material type or by application, and our team can confirm current stock by phone.
-
Our customers fall into three groups. DIY homeowners installing their own fence or railing, fencing and landscaping contractors sourcing for client jobs, and commercial buyers handling larger-scale property work. Each group has different needs, so our pricing, delivery options, and ordering process are built to accommodate small one-time orders as well as repeat bulk purchases. The same expert support is available before, during, and after your order.
-
Our model is built around supplying materials, not performing installations. Customers who want a turnkey design-and-build service from a single vendor are not the right fit for us, and we are not the right partner for projects that require us to handle permitting, surveying, or on-site project management. Those responsibilities stay with the homeowner or contractor. We are an excellent fit for anyone who knows what they want to build, or who wants expert help selecting materials before they build it.
-
We supply fencing and railing materials across northern New Jersey, with regular pickups and deliveries throughout Morris, Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Middlesex, and Monmouth counties. Our showroom and yard are located at 65 NJ-23 South in Pequannock Township, NJ. For projects outside our standard delivery footprint, call us to discuss options. We can often coordinate longer-distance delivery for larger orders.
Ordering, Pickup & Delivery
-
Orders are placed by phone or in person at our Pequannock showroom, where our team can review your project details, confirm material quantities, and finalize pickup or delivery. Browsing online helps you narrow down product styles before you call, but we keep the order step human so we can catch missing hardware, posts, or accessories before your materials leave the yard. The full process is outlined on our process page.
-
Both options are available, and the right choice usually comes down to your project size, vehicle, and timeline. Yard pickup is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at our Pequannock yard, and delivery can be scheduled directly to a job site for larger orders or anyone without the equipment to haul fence panels. Our team will help you weigh the two when you place your order.
-
Most in-stock orders move quickly because we keep our highest-volume styles ready at the Pequannock yard rather than ordering against a manufacturer schedule. Exact pickup and delivery windows depend on your project size, location, and what is in stock at the time. When you call, we will give you a clear timeline before you commit. For time-sensitive jobs, flag the deadline up front and we will work backward from there.
-
Homeowners can order directly with no account or trade credentials required, and the same pricing structure applies whether you are buying for one weekend project or fifty. Contractors and landscapers who place regular orders can work with a dedicated sales contact for faster reordering and bulk coordination. The goal is to make the process feel the same regardless of order size. Clear quote, clear timeline, clear pickup or delivery.
Support & Expert Guidance
-
Our sales team handles material guidance directly. Walk-ins at the Pequannock showroom can speak with the team in person to see samples, compare styles, and ask questions before committing to a quantity. Most of our customers find that a five-minute conversation with our support team prevents two return trips later.
-
Material counts are part of our standard pre-order conversation, and we will walk through your layout, gate locations, post spacing, and accessory needs before finalizing the order. You do not need a finished site survey to get this help. A rough sketch or property dimensions is usually enough to get an accurate count. The goal is to send you home with everything required for the job and nothing extra you have to return.
-
Our installation support continues after pickup or delivery and includes step-by-step installation guides, product-specific tips for common mistakes, and phone support for questions that come up mid-project. We also publish video walkthroughs and contractor resources covering the most common fence styles we sell. Installation itself is performed by you or your contractor, but you are not on your own when something gets confusing.
-
Phone calls during business hours are typically answered live by a member of the sales team, not routed through a phone tree or a queue. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with messages outside those windows returned the next business morning. For mid-install questions during open hours, calls go straight to someone who can help you troubleshoot.
Materials & Product Selection
-
The right material depends on your priorities. Vinyl is low-maintenance and holds up well in NJ weather, aluminum is the standard choice for pool enclosures and decorative perimeters, wood offers the most traditional look but requires periodic staining or sealing, and chain link is the most cost-efficient option for security and pet containment. Each material also has different installation requirements that affect total project cost and timeline.
-
All of the fencing and railing systems we stock are selected with northern New Jersey conditions in mind, including freeze-thaw cycles, heavy spring rain, and the wind exposure typical of more open lots. Vinyl formulations, post depths, and hardware finishes are chosen to hold up across multiple seasons rather than just looking good on day one.
-
Custom fencing requests are handled regularly, including non-standard heights, custom panel widths, color matches across multiple manufacturers, and combined material runs such as vinyl with aluminum gates. The lead time on custom orders is longer than in-stock items, so we recommend calling to discuss specifications before assuming a timeline.
-
Hardware, posts, gates, hinges, latches, post caps, and finishing accessories are stocked alongside the fencing systems they are designed to work with, so you do not have to source from multiple suppliers to complete a job. Driveway gates, pool guards, and guide rails are also available as complete systems.
Pricing & Getting Started
-
Pricing is based on the materials selected, the linear footage of your project, the number and style of gates, and any accessories required to complete the install. We provide itemized quotes so you can see exactly what is driving the total, and we are transparent about what is included versus what may be needed in addition.
-
A useful quote starts with three pieces of information. The approximate linear footage, the material and style you are considering, and the number of gates the layout requires. A rough sketch of the property, even hand-drawn, helps us catch issues like sloped runs or corner posts that affect the final material count.
-
Project budgets vary widely based on material choice, total length, and accessory needs, but we can give honest ballpark ranges by material type during your initial conversation so you are not blindsided. Vinyl and chain link sit at different ends of the cost spectrum, with aluminum and wood typically falling in between depending on grade and style. The most accurate number comes from a real quote against your actual layout.
-
Once you are ready, call us at 973-556-2374, visit our Pequannock showroom, or use the order form on the site to start the conversation. We will confirm materials, quantities, and accessories, then schedule pickup or delivery on a timeline that works for your project. From there, our installation guides and phone support are available whenever you need them.
